Meanwhile Germany’s president has arrived in Kyiv, on his first visit to Ukraine since Russia invaded in February. President Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s trip comes two days after Germany’s ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs called for a dramatic boost in German and EU aid to Ukraine’s military.
